QRA Fundamentals

About

QRA is a technique used to systematically calculate the risks from hazardous events. It involves estimating the size of consequences associated with a hazard, the frequency at which a release of the hazard may be expected to occur and expressing the results as risk to people – usually risk of fatality. It is an essential tool for use during project development and plant modifications to assess risks associated with, for example, the orientation of process units, spacing between storage vessels, location of the control rooms and plant buildings, reliability of protective systems, fire risk analysis, and the locations for flammable gas and heat detectors.

This webinar will enable participants to understand the requirement of a QRA study, the process of conducting QRA study, interaction between QRA and other technical safety studies, and how the results of QRA study can be used for the process design, normal operation, and risk management by the process industries.
