A 3D Fire & Gas (F&G) Detection Mapping study to identify all zones/ areas that require the fire and gas detection system coverage in the facility, propose fire and gas detection arrangements (including locations of the detectors) to monitor the identified zones and meet the performance criteria requirements.
The objective of the F&G detector mapping study is as follows:
- To assess coverage requirement of fire and gas detector.
- To determine the optimum numbers and locations of F&G detectors using appropriate detection technologies and 3D CAD modelling techniques to ensure an agreed level of detection coverage against specified F&G events.
