HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) Study
The HAZOP scope covered the new BOG Compressor Package process and utility systems including all tie-ins.
The objectives of the HAZOP review were to:
⦁ Identify if hazards associated with deviations from the design intent, if any, are correctly identified, assessed, and communicated to the project management.
⦁ Assess the scenarios identified during the HAZOP workshop using the Shell Risk Assessment Matrix (RAM). Scenarios ranked as red, yellow 5A, 5B, 4A, 4B, 4C safety consequences were further studied during LOPA analysis.
⦁ Make recommendations to mitigate identified hazards related to the design of the processes that could result in personnel injury, fire and explosion, environmental concerns, loss of containment, emergency response impairment, operability issues and maintenance issues, where necessary.
